Tats, Beards and Food

Whoa, in less than a week now I'll be moving to Minneapolis. That's a scary place, but I won't be there alone, I'll be living with seven other people!! Here's a picture of two of them, Levi - in front with the amazing beard, and Noah - facing the espresso machine. The others are: Wendy (Noah's wife), Lorraine (my floor mate), Stephanie, Lisbeth, and Jackie. So in total there will be eight of us and I'm pretty excited. Also, Wendy and Libby - I think you two should get this tattoo:

Ice Skating Wisdom

The U.S. Figure Skating Championship is underway in Saint Paul here and my aunt came to watch her niece, Chrissy Hughes, battle her way to the top. It seems really interesting, sure, but I have to admit that I'm not really into figure skating , partly because it's figure skating and partly out of spite that my aunt took my room and I'm sleeping on the couch. I've heard that it's a complicated and expensive sport, like gymnastics and football and baseball ... but I don't really care. Mirai Nagasu won today's Senior Ladies Free skate after falling once. So I learned one thing from Ice Skating recently, is that even if you fall just get back up and do your best, cause you're going to fall, but you can still win even if you fall. The Caveat you should know is that there's a panel of people always judging and scoring you. So, I guess if you fail, just remember no matter where you are, at some point you were first.

I'm only sleeping...

For some reason I keep waking up early in the morning when I don't have to, like today. I woke up at 6:30 am and couldn't get back to sleep. I wandered over to Kopplin's where I was labeled some sort of a weirdo for wearing a mock turtleneck and being there eight hours before my shift. So after that barrage of french bashing humor I then went over to Amore to see Paul, and began to feel sleepy. What's the deal, I thought. It was so frustrating. So I took a little nap in my truck. It didn't last long because I was woken up by so many people walking by asking if I was ok. I don't know what the big deal was. Paul came outside and snapped a photo of me because someone said they were going to call the cops on me. You be the judge.

fish = rent

So I'll be moving into a community house (called the Steiger House)and having to be more responsible with money than I've ever been before!! Sadly it's taken me so long to learn how to live within my means, not "within" my means. It can get a little hard when you only work at a coffee shop, excuse me, THE coffee shop, but then I think of my friends Paul and Libby and Liz and Jesus - yeah, he didn't have any money and God totally took care of Him. There was even that time when Peter and Jesus were supposed to pay taxes and they didn't have any money, so Jesus told him to go fishing and the fish had money in it's mouth (Matthew 17:24-27), totally awesome! I guess that means I need to go ice fishing more... hmm. Anyway, I guess it's good I'm learning this now and not later, right? I'll have some pics soon of the house and my mates.

The inter-power computer net

I have tried to be good on blogging and to read others blogs at the same time but, time just gets away from me. There is one blog I check occasionally, just to see what his neurons are firing away at. His January 6th '08 entry I thought was funny. Buzz.
